Hopefully I don't sound like a snob for this but... 5-9 160lb burner... we already have one of these, and he only ever gets to run the reverse (Chaney)... I think we'll be fine without Byrd. If he comes to Iowa great, if not... have fun in South Carolina.

Chaney only gets action on the reverse because he's a track guy playing football, not a football player. Great straight-line speed, but not great agility, instincts, etc. He's just fast. That may be all Byrd is, too, IDK. But if he were a football player first (meaning in his skill set), then he would contribute far more than Chaney does.

Byrd's highlight videos indicate that he is a football "player" with sick speed. Not afraid of contact, and has some serious "ankle breaking" moves. He's a player...hope he's a Hawk too.

Will Byrd's decision be streaming online anywhere? Or does anyone know the time he'll state his decision?

I don't have any idea when it will be or if it will be online but my guess it will be either during his lunch or most likely after school so maybe around 2/3 pm CST

this is all i found about the time whick will be at 2:30 (EST i believe) per scout:Scout.com: Byrd Announcing Oct. 20th nothing on if it will be showed online though

Yeah his highlights are insane. He could be special at WR thats for sure. Anyone have a clue on Iowa's chances though? I've been to a couple gamecock msg boards and they seem pretty confident he will be going to USC.
