I know the team needs it at this point in the season, but God do I hate it. Seems like an empty weekend in my life. Nothing to look forward to other than ISU getting beat. Any good suggestions on how to pass the time until MSU????

I have a golf tourney this weekend so I'm actually set. Take life easy, get some yard work done, and watch TCU hopefully beat the clowns.

Im going to the Wisconsin game. Headed to bars around 1030, watch the 11am games. Go to that debacle for about a half, go back to the bars and watch the other 230 games.

I hear ya. I think that is why I am not feeling it this week in the mad dash for Miller bucks. I am to focused on hearing how and what we are doing with our bye.
I was thinking about going to see who wins the commander-in-chief's trophy, but I am not really a fan of either and we had an artic blast blow in. I am not going to go sit in sub 45 degrees for teams I could care less about when I cant sit at home and watch games on tv.

There's always something the wife wants you to do or you can have fun with the kiddies. I you don't have a wife or kids, you can go get hammered with the girlfriend. If you don't have a gf, then you undoubtedly hit the bars. Start early, find a single lush, and friend her up.

I'm taking in some good high school football, watching son play flag football, b-day party Sat and Sun, and of course catching any games that I can. Gives me the ability to catch some other games for once. Plus the wife was traveling this week for work so got some QT to spend this weekend.

This is a perfect week for a bye. My wife's due date was yesterday so it should be anytime now!!!

Now my Saturday won't revolve around football. I can do whatever, and catch some games at my liesure. But its always weird when the Hawks don't play.

Mrs. Calculator is out of town this weekend! I plan to do absolutely nothing. I may not even shower.

It does suck, but I will be watching NW-PSU, Michigan-PU, and Neb-OSU.....if they all go to leaders teams,Hawks move into 1st!

I've spent the month of September driving to Iowa City every weekend so it seems like I've had no time to catch up on anything around the house before winter sets in. The bye week feels like a nice break...except that I have a great nephew having a birthday where relatives are expecting me to drive to Des Moines for a birthday party.
