Bye Week-Any concerns with momentum?

Obviously huge to get some guys healthy, especially at the Mike although Morris looked good for a FR. You have to figure there are some other guys with the typical bumps and bruises that could use the week to heal up as well.

Huge to have two weeks to prepare for Robinson and the Michigan offense. He's going to get his yards I would imagine but I think MSU will do a decent job of containing him this week and gets some hits on him. Can't wait to see how the Iowa defense stacks up against him.

I guess the only downside to the bye week is losing some momentum but with a veteran team I don't think they'll have much of a problem picking up where they left off especially against a suspect Michigan defense.

Wasn't it two or three years ago Iowa lost coming off the bye week and just looked out of sync?

I think it's coming at a good time. Iowa can heal up where needed, and work on some of the things they need to. Iowa isn't perfect on offense.

ARob probably needs the week off more than anyone. He carried a big load last night.

This isn't a 2002 type offense so no not worried about momentum. And kirk loves it now. Good enough for me

In post game, Ferentz mentioned that Norm has already been talking about Michigan. Norm and our D are going to destroy Michigan in two weeks!

Think of it this way...I want shoelace to have another great game against MSU to get the hype REALLY crackalacking...ESPN, Heisman, etc....then when Iowa shuts him down and wins, THINK of the respect the Hawks will get!! They will be the team making the headlines!! "The only D that shut down shoelace"

This team is veteran enough were I don't worry about momentum. Look how sharp they looked the first 3 series during the orange bowl. Also, 2002 didn't have a bye week...

We need the 2 weeks to prepare for Michigan. Norm will have the boys sniffing out the plays before they run them.

Norm with 2 weeks to plan is better then Batman and Chuck Norris combined.

Velcro isn't going to make it past MSU. There is a certain linebacker on that team that is going to crush that little water bug.

We will get some respect but they will say they it was expected for him to be minimized against Iowa.

2 weeks to prepare is huge. the Big House is always a tough place to play. We should be able to score on their defense and their offense will be limited.

I say 24-10 Iowa and Robinson will get only about 50 yards rushing and will be forced to pass getting around 200 yards there

24-10? Really? I'm sorry, but unless Robinson and Forcier get hurt against MSU, there is no way we hold UM to 10 points at the Big House. I mean, even with the TO's last year, they moved the ball fairly well against our defense. More realistically, I would expect a 34-28 type game.

At this point, I'm really curious to see how MSU plays against Michigan because from a schematic/identity standpoint, MSU does a lot of things we do. If MSU holds Michigan to 17 points, then I'll be inclined to agree with you, but I just do not see that happening because Robinson is more careful with the ball than Forcier.

I will say this, if we can beat Michigan, I think we go into the OSU game undefeated.
