I agree with that. I just couldn't fathom how people were unable to see that we had all the pieces to turn the corner. Here we are...corner turned.

maybe.... having a good year this year but we will see.

So we got 8-5 or 9-4 this year.... but 9-4 just to buy 3 poor seasons before the next decent one doesn't really excite me.

Finish this year strong and then keep it going next year and I will say Ferentz 3.0 has arrived.

Lucky? A solid defense. A defense that doesn't let the offense get away with a lot of mistakes. A defense that holds the line when the other parts of the team sputters. An offense that has kept trying no matter how big a hole they dig. Iowa isn't a great team but they have played good this year. For a team without any real superstars they have done very well.
I'll say it again. Fire the coach and you set the program back at least two years. Probably more. Iowa is 8-4 and will probably do as well next year.

I will fully admit I was too hard on KF. I'm glad he turned it around this year, and hope he can take another step forward next year. Most of all, I'm glad Bo Pelini isn't our coach.

We had a regular season that was satisfying... but next year is still huge.
