Sorry, but I think Iowa and Minny will both be better next year than last year.
The top five will be very solid again, with IU better,Michigan as good,MSU and OSU only slightly down, and Wisky just as good.
Andy Katz had them as:
1. IU
5. OSU
7.MSU
8. Mich
21. Wisky.
I think with Sully leaving, maybe drop them down to maybe 12-15.
MSU is deeper than Mich,tho.
Those five will be locks.
Then Minny, with Mbakwe, and the starting five from an NIT finalist, will be a threat to break into the top tier.
Iowa should be at least as good, with real depth and true big men,so,with their light schedule, could win 10 -11 games in the Big ten which puts them into the tourny.
Then Illinois and NW could also challenge. NW has 5 very good shooters coming back, and the Illini have 8 returners who are top 100 guys, with a new coach to energize them.
No guarantees beyond 6,but I could see 7 bids, with a possible 8 if things fall right.
Big East loses Pitt,Cuse and West VA,and add some chumps,so their bids will go down. ACC adds Pitt and Cuse, which could knock a Va. out.
West Va. is no lock in the Big 12,as they are rebuilding.
I see the Big Ten as the top league again, and this year it will merit more than 6.
