Sorry to start another thread..but if any of you seriously think Iowa isn't a lock for the tourney you are a moron. That's really all I have to say. If any of you think we are going to lose to a Northwestern team we have beaten TWICE BY 26..and they had Jershawn Cobb in those games, you are a moron. I know we have struggled these last 3 weeks but some of you people have really jumped off the cliff. Wisconsin went on a 1-5 streak as well in January..$hit happens. You guys act like we have been getting blown out of every game we have lost. Michigan State lost to Illinois at home too. $hit happens.

Shut up already and enjoy these next few weeks instead of crying about nothing and being negative about everything.

Yep. At least I don't waste my whole day worrying and posting about things that aren't true. Just trying to help the morons out

It would have helped to get that 1-5 skid out of the way in January, then come back and beat the teams we were supposed to beat and steal one or two from Wisky and MSU.

We are definitely on the bubble. Quit looking through black- and gold-colored glasses. This team is no lock for anything other than the NIT if they don't win Thursday.

I sure hope you are right. I wouldn't bet $5 on the northwestern game. 2 blowout wins almost guarantee the 3rd game won't be a blowout. Northwestern pasted purdue at purdue last week, which is not a good sign. Northwestern has been a big pain for iowa in both basketball and football over the last 10 years. How many times have we played northwestern over the last 10 years and they have drained 3 after 3? Too many is all i know. If we lose that game, all bets are off for the NCAA tournament.
 
Like I said in another post (maybe not as well initially) Iowa is probably in the tournament, but does not deserve it if they do not beat Northwestern at the very least. They are probably still in regardless of the Northwestern outcome, but they deserve all of the bubble talk controversy coming there way right now. They put themselves in that position. It is not moronic to call Iowa a fringe bubble team at the moment.

It comes with the territory when you go limping into the tournament. Take care of some business in the Big Ten Tournament and the bubble talk will go away. If not, we may not know comfortably for sure until we see our names as a likely 10 or 11 seed on the television screen.

Nearly every prognosticator out there has us as a lock. They just don't do that if there is a reasonable doubt. I am confident....also confident we beat NW nicely and get one for Fran's son.

The only bubble talk controversy is coming from Iowa fans, not the media.
 
Correct, we are a lock. Year 4 goal of getting in will happen. Just a question of seed... think we are still 8 or 9. Chance to move up with some quality play in BIG.
 
Iowa is a lock for the NCAA tournament. People need to stop with the bubble talk, they just make themselves look silly and are adding to the overall paranoia.

The Hawks have looked like sh*t lately but they're a solid team who can beat anyone.

What seeds do you consider the bubble?
 
Fans who are suggesting that Iowa is not a lock are just trying to get under frustrated Iowa fans skin. They are the ones who live for negativity..sad

The importance of the NW game is to get back in a groove.
