Just thinking ahead of what the TV/Internet options are this year for the Iowa Basketball games.
hawkeyesports.com shows which TV providers are carrying the games for most of the games: Hawkeye Sports - University of Iowa Official Athletic Site
Looks like BTN will be streaming 4 Games, with one of them also having Medicom option.
Anyone going to sign up for the BTN streaming? Last year one could purchase a single game to watch, looks like this year one has to sign up again (old passwords don't work) and option is a Monthly School pass for $7.95. I am assuming this is renewed automatically each month if not cancelled.
Looks like Iowa will be playing 4 games covered by BTN streaming: Illinois-Springfield (exhibition), Louisiana Monroe (also on Mediacom), Idaho St., and Louisiana Tech.
2 of the streams are in November and 2 in December, so for 4 games it would cost about $16.00, or about $4.00 per game. As a Basketball junkie, I will most likely cough up the money, just wanted to gauge what others were thinking about the streams.
Also, I know in the past Fox Sports channels covered most of the Paradise Jam games, any confirmation that the Paradise Jam games Iowa will be playing in will be televised via Fox Sports Network? If not, will there be a streaming option? IIRC, I remember watching streaming of Iowa in the Paradise Jam a few years back.
I checked the Paradise Jam website and it only makes a blanket statement that they have worked with Fox Sports in the past to broadcast games and how it gives them exposure...etc....etc. No real confirmation of what games will be televised.
And last question, I see that hawkeyesports.com website states the Drake game will be on Mediacom, any other options for out of staters for this game?
Looks like all other games are confirmed for the BTN except for the Wake Forest game (ESPNU), at Indiana (ESPN/ESPN2), vs. Michigan (BTN/CBS), at Illinois (BTN/ESPN/CBS), and vs. Purdue (TBD).
Thanks. Go Hawks!!!
