BTN coverage of Kickoff begins....

This reporter is making a fool of herself.

Yes, she is exposing herself as an out of the loop national writer...the when ya gonna retire JoePa story line is played out.

Joepa does not suffer fools lightly. Dispenses with the opening rah-rah statement...right to questions.

They keep badgering the old guy about his health...move on,press.

Loves the Nebraska addition, but declines to offer advice to Delaney on other expansion.
Likes the Bama game for his young team...grow up faster.
Asked about divisions...demurrs,altho you suspect that he wants to get out of the East with OSU and Mich.

Don't change,Joe...and stay forever.

sounds like jo pa lives right by the campus... he says he fools around with the kids that walk by his house and trys to stay active haha

Brewster when asked about falling season ticket sales...''we have the best stadium in the country and our fan base is absolutely jacked about our home schedule!!''

Those declining season ticket sales always signal a ''jacked fan base'',Punky.
Asked about Texas backing out of series with Minny '' disapointed in Texas...Delaney assurred them they would get what they need in post-game video clips ect..but they back out anyway''....Texas is on the crap list.

Danny Hope- PU....low-key,seems like he has racheted back on his coachspeak. I think this guy has a chance. Good recruiter...I think they have a chance to upset some teams above them again this year.

I think Hope proved what a good coach he is last year and the future looks pretty bright with that program. Hope was right when he said if not for the turnovers they would have been one of the top stories from CFB last year. Then finished the year 4-2, should have beat Notre Dame and Oregon early in the season and I have no doubt that Purdue (unlike Minnesota) would have slaughtered the Clowns in the Insight Bowl.

KF on podium: Mary must not have packed a belt. He can afford the hotel guest shop version.

Talks about departing players like Spievey and the lbers.

Ballard,Klug and Adrian are his first kudos.
Lber...hunter is solid, Tarp and Johnson are senior guys stepping in along with Neilsen and Davis.
D-backs...Greenwood and Sash back. Prater and Hyde...
Offense: o-line is a priority...Tony Mo,and Stross will be missed.
Ricky is there, feel good about Vandy also.
WR's and TEs....solid
RBs: Morse a chicago kid,3 year starter...and Jewel,ARob and Wegs.
Mentions Donahue and Andy Schultz..two chicago special team guys he wishes he could bring to the event.
Tough league...looking forward to it.

Opening question: same USA Today gal who badgered JoePa...asks about neb and he effect on recruiting? KF says not so much.
Follow up with a Neb-Iowa rivalry game...KF jokes about not texting the Big Ten like BB...can read'em cannot send'em.

Asked about the league strength....says their has been negative talk in the past, and but on the field it is positive.
Do not have to defend ourselves to anybody...

KF asked about rivalries and divisional setup. No real comment.
Asked about OSU....great game last year, but they have the record on their side right now.
Asked about Az game....not a big fan of west coast trips, but it is on the schedule.
9:35 central kickoff...gotta be ready.

Asked about undefeated start..how do we learn from it?
Each game was close, and each game must be focused on.

Asked about running back situation...hopes for a healthier deal this year. Says that the rb situation has been interesting with Shonn,to ARob to Wegs...
