BTN commentary for Nebraska game

Was it just me, of were the commentators really excited for Nebraska tonight? I only caught the 2nd half and the OTs, but thry sounded like Big Red fans to me. Found it frustrating and in poor taste. Am I crazy?

I thought it was pretty fair...lots of good words for Cook, Baer, Jok.

Nebraska won, and had won two road games vs Indiana and Maryland and are now 3-0...they are a story to follow.

I don't think what they said proves that you are crazy...but it doesn't mean you aren't.

Kevin Kugler is from Omaha and has covered Nebraska sports for most of his life. He started out on an all Nebraska radio station and is still a guest on several shows a week - I was at the game so I haven't heard any of the commentary, but I can tell you that without even watching my DVR of the replay.

I felt that they were high on both teams. Sometimes announcers talk up the games because they have to, but I think those guys genuinely enjoyed every minute of that one

I actually felt it was the other way around. Bardo was talking Iowa up big time.

I thought they were really into it. With good reason. It was a heck of a game. I didn't have any problem with how they called it at all. I thought Bardo was really good and fair. He noticed the nuances of plays being made. Like Bohannons entry passes. And they had no problem calling out the refs on some calls. I enjoyed listening to them call it.

I will listen to Bardo anytime. He thoroughly enjoyed the game and was pretty balanced in his praise. He knows the game, for sure.

Kuglar is from Omaha and did a lot of sport talk here, so he may show a bit. Personally, I think he does a great job. They were pretty complimentary both ways. That might end up being one of the better basketball games of the year.

I have always enjoyed Bardo...seems to know and love the game...good insights...his excitement was obvious last night, at witness to a great game...

I thought they were just two bb guys enjoying a helluva game. Thought they were pretty even handed.

So, yes, FreddyHawk, you are crazy.:D

Kevin Kugler graduated from Nebraska and is a homer. I do like listening to him though.

Stephen Bardo is VERY good as a basketball commentator.
Dude does his homework and provides well timed input during the game.

I actually got a kick out of listening to them. They were almost giddy with what a great game it was. Heck I wasn't even ticked when we lost because those announcers didn't have me pi$$ed off during the game.

I thought they did a good job. We lost but I still very much enjoyed the game. We are making positive strides which is what I want to see this year...with some wins as well. If I had a choice between the announcers and the refs I would definitely opt to retain the announcers. Those refs had a bad night both ways.
