Brust for Uthoff

Yeah, Wisconsin has never had any of those kind of those guys in Bo Ryan's tenure. LMAO!!!

It doesn't matter. Bo will have a better record with you with our guys or he could take your team and have a better record than you with your guys.

Bo could coach a group of kids from Hillcrest Dormitory to win a BIG championship.

Thanks for proving my point. A 6'8 player who can do all of those things fundamentally changes more games than a spot up 3 pt shooter does.....Wisconsin rides the backs of those players.....not the backs of 3 pt. specialists.

As far as Bo goes, I'd pass every day of the week on him, and twice on Sunday. If I have to watch that boring a$$ style of BB of 10 years, I'd just quit watching.....

Maybe next year Bo can take his team and actually beat our team. That would probably be a good place to start.

Loose cannon? You mean like transferring and talking to the media instead of people on your own team?

Uthoff didn't have many friends of Wisconsin's roster. Before he transferred as well.

Look dude, Burst is a loose cannon. I put a link in there too, so you know it's true.

Uthoff may have not played a game, but I know a couple of Wisky fans, and they would take Uthoff over Brust Anyday....for what its worth, it isn't just Iowa fans saying this.
I don't know who you've been talking to but not anyone with an actual pulse of the team. Brust is a PHENOMENAL 3-point shooter (tied his own school record last year with 7 3's in a game) and he is his offensive game. He's more than just a spot up shooter. The two players that made the most gains this off-season in our conditioning phase were Ben Brust and Ryan Evans. Brust will be a 10 ppg scorer this season on a team that will have multiple scoring threats. No one knows what Uthoff is going to be as he hasn't played 1 second of Division I college basketball. Brust was the 6th man on a Sweet 16 team and he played starter minutes as a soph.

you think brust will score more then a quarter of Wisconsin's points?

Brust will be OK, but Iowa picked up a Brust type player last year in Oglesby. As a Fr, Oglesby put up similar numbers to what Brust was doing as a So (I already posted those). Ogelsby will put up about 10 PPG this year, just like Brust.

Much easier to find a one trick pony 3 pt. shooter, than it is to find a 6'8 kid who can run the floor, dribble, defend, shoot the 3, and rebound.

This.

The question shouldn't be Uthoff for Brust, there isn't a comparison, but rather Ogelsby vs Brust. I would pick Ogs after what we all saw last season. They were nearly equal, but Ogs was a true freshman, while Brust was a sophmore. Brust won't improve that much more. Ogs will/has, plus he has more upside. We saw some of that in PTL, will see more of that this season.

Regardless, there is NO comparison with a 6-2 SG and a 6-8 swing player with more talent & a great 3 pt shot. Sorry Badgers, but we win that one.

I would rather have Uthoff that brust. I think brust is a good player, but he won't have the players or coaches around him to really make him shine. Next year both of Iowas centers will be a year older. Meyer will probably be fifteen pound heavier and at least an inch taller. Iowas backcourt will be experienced. Iowa will have two senior power forwards. Fran will pretty much have his system implemented. Anyway, wisconsin will be pretty much the same, except the coach will be another year older, while Iowa will be emerging. It sounds like a pretty good deal for Uthoff. It sounds like brust enjoys wisconsin too.

Yet, you and your Badger friends already have put Dekker into the Hall of Fame.

The coach will be another year older? WTF? Last I checked the coaches weren't playing so it doesn't matter what Bo's vertical jump is. I know it is a factor for you because the only way Wisconsin is coming back to earth is if Bo is retired right? Too bad, Bo is still a vibrant/energetic guy.

Wisconsin returns everyone of significance this year except for Jordan Taylor. Every play improves under Bo Ryan so returning more minutes than he's ever returned means Wisconsin is loaded.

I think YOU are the one that's loaded!
