Brommer Questionable for Saturday

To bad he may miss the game. He has really been coming on.

Does anyone know, do the players normally get flu shots prior to the season?

My guess is the flu shot is an individual decision. I doubt the coaching staff can make you get a flu shot.

Flu shot do not protect against the Stomach "Flu" which is not really a flu at all... This is a common misconception that people need to educate themselves on.

Who'd have thought that he'd improve to the point where we can honestly say his absence is a pretty big one?

Iowa is so thin about the only player who plays that they can really afford to lose and not miss much is Devon Archie. However Archie can even play a role if There is foul trouble/inconsistent play for Cole, Basabe, or Brommer which is a possiblity every game.

Indiana is more depleted than Iowa though which seems odd that they have been able to beat two ranked teams at home, and have played some teams tough on the road too.

Indiana has had some really bad luck lately, losing their best players to injury the past two years.

Yah Iowa had the same kind of luck for three straight years as the top players kept coming down with cases of Licklitis. Hopefully an extraction has remedied the problem. :)

Brommer has made remarkable progress this year. Just shows what a coach that emphasizes player development can do. I hope Brommer can play. With Watford out, our bigs could possibly have a big day if we can get them the ball.

If Archie plays like he did the other night, he could fill in quite well.

I'll be interesting to see players develop under Fran. I thought all in all Lick did a better job of developing players than Alford, but I also though he tried to fit certain guys into his system instead of using their strengths. Fran seems to be doing well with the bigs we have.
