Brommer out three weeks

And so it begins... again. But it sounds like Brommer should be back by the start of the season, but still, lost practice time for Brommer. Last thing we need.

Hopefully this will be about all the significant injuries we have this year, but only if our luck changes.

It's the same knee but I believe slightly different in that the surgery was for torn ACL while the recent injury is a sprained MCL if I overheard correctly at practice Sat.

Might not be the world's worst thing. We all know his tendency to foul out. The problem is guys don't foul out in practice. So the practice team could look a lot different than the game team.

Having him out in practice will give guys who are possibly more likely to be logging time the chance to work on their game and also give Fran a more clear indication of what he can expect this year.

If he can average 5pts 5 rebs a game then I would call that a successfull senior season for him. We atleast need something out of that center position this year.

according to Fran in an interview, Brommer will be out 30 days, White who spained his thumb will only miss a few days as the injury was not as bad as 1st feared, Olaseni is ready to play, but he had considered RS him as he felt comfortable with the Brommer & Archie duo at center, Archie has been impressive in workouts and the scrimmage, the Brommer injury will have a impact if it keeps recurring, as knee injuries are hard to deal with

If Olaseni is bad enuf where we need to redshirt him, and we depend on Brommer and Archie....

Well then, I adjust my prediction down to winning about 10 games this year.

then you don't trust the coach to get the job done, and a player can't make a big jump his senior year, how sad to go thru life with a glass half empty type of attitude

weren't you the one going off on people calling you out for your ridiculous post about Olesansi going for a double double this year?

Now you are saying red shirt him?

Just think with a redshirt season he could average 15 and 15 as a rs frosh!!!

i have never said he would avg a dbl dbl, what Igave was a range of pts and rebounds, of 8-10 pts and 8-10 rbds, big difference, him being a true center at 6'10 with the reach of someone 7'3, and as atehletic as he is, it should not be that unrealistic to think he could avg those types of stats, as for the RS it had nothing to do with his ability, it had more to do with ability of the other players already here, Fran has stated that Olaseni is able to play now, BUT is the best candidate to be redshirted, because of that fact, get over it, the #'s are my opinion you people don't like it, either come up with your own opinions or go FYS , i really don't care

I guarantee you fran would not description shirt anyone capable of averaging 8 and 8. I don't think any college un America would rs someone capable of 8 and 8.

So we would have Woodbury, Meyer, and Olesani all as Frosh next? Why would we do that unless Olesani just isn't ready.

You don't care? That's rich.

I look for Olesan to be starting by the time conference play rolls around. Brommer tries, but seems to have chronic knee problems and Archie is an injury waiting to happen. We aren't going to get much offensive production from the 5 spot, so IMO, the best athlete should get the majority of the PT and that is Olaseni hands down.
