Bring in Kaylon and Kurt???

Like I said you don't understand how things are run. I would however consider it a something more of a "no big loss" the kid would have played over Cully or at least moved Cully to 2 where he could be freed up to do what he does best and knock down shots. The coaches he's played for have no doubt about his talent level.

That's a pretty big leap for a kid who shot 35% from the floor and 60% from the line for one of the worst teams in the MVC.

Where do these think they are going to go? Where else (other then ISU) could they start as Freshman and play 30 plus minutes in a power 6 conference?

Some may prefer to be a role player on a good team to being a starter on a horrible team. While game time is important in improving your skills, so is having somebody that is decent to practice against every day.

Typical doorknob reply. As a PG he led the MVC in assists with a great A/TO ratio. As PG led the team to their first winning season in years and a post season birth( all be it the CBI) That "worst team" beat drake twice and you might want to check their RPI. He is recruited as a ball distributor with great defensive skills. When you understand the different positions and roles then you may have something logical to say about the recruiting process and what is needed.

I see he committed to UW Milwaukee last night...good for him. Evansville went 8 and 10 that year in conference. Look at Cully and his numbers from their first years and they are very similar...one playing against MVC competition...the other against the Big 10. To make the leap that he could come and in be better than Cully is ridiculous. Would he be better? Maybe? Is Kaylon Williams a top tier PG that Iowa should have offered? Absolutely not based off his MVC stint.

Word is Fran may not get any players for 2010 and hold out for 2011 since there is only six days left for recruiting. Fran only had 7 (6 scholarship) his first year at Siena and this roster is better off than his Siena one was so he may realize this and work with it.

Where is this "word" from?

And there's plenty more than 6 days left of recruiting. This isn't football. The vast majority of uncommitted players and guys questioning their commitment don't sign on the first day.

There are only six days of recruiting available to McCaffery and his staff. Following is the recruiting schedule.

April 12 - 15 Dead Period
April 16 - 21 Contact Period
April 22 - May 19 Quiet Period

During a "Quiet Period" in-person recruiting activity is limited to contact on campus.

The signing period starts on Wednesday and runs through May 19.
