Which one of his brothers will be the new O-Line coach? Maybe we can get rid of Kennedy and Mary Ferentz can be WR coach.
I'm getting a kick out of those that think the hiring of Brian is keeping the status quo. I think it is in some ways sure it kinda is. But in a whole lot of ways that I think is nothing but positive it's a large step out of the box. He's going to want to succeed. He's young and hungry. It's pretty clear he's shooting for being Iowa's HC down the road. Do you think that'll ever happen if he and Iowa do crappy going forward? Hell no. He knows as well as anyone what the challenges are and what it'll take to improve the passing game. Hopefully they hire someone with experience with QBs/WRs to help him hit the ground running.

Maybe they should have hired an offensive coordinator with experience?I'm getting a kick out of those that think the hiring of Brian is keeping the status quo. The Barta side of things is irrelevant.... That's all for show. Fort Kinnick is ran by KF.I would agree but then there's the Barta paradox.

Just tried that with a guy that won a championship ring to boot. That doesn't mean anything either. Hell we just had a pretty bad 5 yr run... As much as some think hiring Brian is a keeping everything the same type of hire I just don't I think he'll shake things up more then people think. He's pretty much the first coordinator KF has had who has aspirations of being a head coach himself. He's young and wants to climb the ladder. He's not nearly as tone deaf as KF has been over the years. Remember Brian grew up in IC. He went to HS and college there. I don't think you'll find a more motivated person that will want to succeed then him in that job. Hiring a retread that currently doesn't have a job would probably be getting a guy just showing up for a paycheck. I'd rather have the young hungry guy that not only knows the culture of this program from the inside out but has some skin in the game....Maybe they should have hired an offensive coordinator with experience?
Any word on Bobby Kennedy. I guess I'll have to stock up on bean burritos.
