Looks like a 2024 prospect from what I've seen from prospectslive.com. They're high on him if he gets his control down, as in a top 5 pick.

Maybe he was informed Iowa will be bringing in a couple experienced WR's in the next portal window?

Glad he's made this decision. We are talking about a 100 plus million dollar decision for him potentially... Getting hurt playing football for whatever NIL $ he's getting and having fun (he didn't seem to have NFL potential so far unless he transfered to Purdue 
) would be pretty damn dumb. The sky is literally the limit for him with pitching it sounds like.
Iowa was going to stink again at WR with or without him. We needed another body or two for spring ball anyway so it's not like we haven't been looking. They really needed to just burst open the NIL coffers to attract a stud to come but they Fd that up prior to last signing day. Since we can't offer a ton of targets and an exciting O to be a part of they gotta compensate for that with $$$. It's not hard to figure out
