Breaking Down Iowa's 2013 FB schedule by returning starters

absolutely he is. not really sure if he's trying too hard to troll, or if he has huge anger problems. we need to get Ghost involved for an intervention.

I don't get it, what could any possible human being get any enjoyment out of acting like that unless it is to troll.

I think this guy is beyond Ghost's help.

anyway, back on track, it is nice to see we have a good amount of kids returning. but, it would make me feel much, much better if we had a QB with experience. oh well. we'll just have to see who emerges in the spring.

I think that with a healthy o-line and if Weisman is healthy too, it will take alot of pressure of the QB. However, the QB will need to actually perform better than last season because it won't take long for defenses to key in on the running game and the offense will spit and sputter like last season.

Also the defensive line is going to need to stop up big. I think the DT's are in better shape than the DE's though.

The Clones defense will be absolutely atrocious in September. 4 starters? Must’ve had a lot of early entrants. Will be so extremely pathetic if we can’t run/pass all over them.

i don't know why other teams wouldn't just load the box and blitz all game until the Hawk QB can beat them. not sure why more teams didn't do that last year. when they did they were really successful.

I know what you mean, however I am glad they didn't because that offense would have been even worse from a statistical standpoint!

Yep, should be the second easiest game on the schedule.

The clones' defense should be the worst in the big 12 this coming season (man, i feel sorry for rhoads, he's such a good guy. Nobody will ever turn isu into a contender). If the hawks can't dominate this defense, you know what you're in for the rest of the season.

I think seven returning starters on defense is a little misleading. Hyde, Gags, and Bigach I get...but I'd say that Law was the starting safety by years end. We appear to be deep at corner and our DL should be much improved over this year. Cooper was flashing, LTP faded a bit, but should be more prepared for the grind, and Alvis will be much better this year. He just didn't have the explosiveness and hopefully that returns. If we can get a few more DL to make progress and a few of the young guys step up (Spears / Ott / J. Johnson / Ekatite)...this group will be considerably better.

Let's face it, our offense didn't help them much in our losses. I put the Central Michigan game on the defense to a certain extent, but our coaching staff gets a major assist there too.
