I'm pretty new at posting so I just have one questions right now and that would be do you think that Wegher could play around 215? I think he could but i was just wondering if anyone else thought so?

Uh - yeah. No problem. He played at 205-210 this year so why not 215. He needs to strengthen his lower body somewhat.

That's what I was thinking but I wasn't sure...Also I heard somewhere on TOS that he had mono and lost ten pounds in fall camp or something like that. Is that True?

I agree. He didn't break tackles as well as he could have, but he definitely got much better at that by the end of the season. An offseason under Doyle should fix that no problem, however, because he doesn't seem to be afraid of contact.

Was not impressed with Wegher's ability to break tackles at all last year. Robinson was much more proficient in that area.

Brandon Wegher, as a freshman, rushed for over 100 yards in Iowa's biggest Bowl victory in history.

Me thinks Brandon will be fine in the next few years.

He did a good job of it in the Orange Bowl. As I said, he wasn't that good at it most of the year. That's why I was confused when people said they liked Wegher more than Robinson.

BW's main goal when handling the rock this year was to go forward and not fumble. Go back and watch games compared to the Bowl game.
He carries the ball in the bowl game much more like he did in HS that is why he looked and showed up better. FYI BW was very ripped as a senior in HS. His fortay was being so fast to and thru the hole that no one had a chance to catch him. Our zone blocking scheme requires the back to hang back a little and read the opening. He was doing better toward the end on the season and will likely have it all figured out by next fall.
