Brad Rogers!

I think with the sometimes hokum play by the offensive line and the play of our tight ends, Brad rogers becomes a key to the rest of our season. Coker is clearly better when being led to the hole by Rogers and keeping that initial defender off Coker is so important to making 2-3 yard runs 5-6+ yard runs.

It would also be fun to see Rogers leading Canzeri through the hole on a couple plays each game too.

Just glad he is back! Missed one obvious block blowing inside, should have just squared up the defender but he got better as the game progressed. Loved his lead in for Coker on his second TD. Brad made it possible! Showed a nice touch with the ball on his reception. Way better then at PSU last week. I think he is going to bounce back quicker than I thought and this is a good thing.

Also thought that Lowery looked really good on kick coverage. His lane was along the left sideline. Really showed his speed and good instincts in getting to the returner on the right hash on two of the kicks. Was good seeing him in as the 5th back when in nickel.

Will have to watch them next week and see if there is more improvement. I like both of these guys.

rogers brings a ton of athleticism to that position ... we will be a lot better if he stays healthy and gets some reps under his belt

Rogers will be a key for this team the next couple seasons. he had a couple great blocks, the aforementioned nice catch-and-run, and seems to have lost ZERO in terms of "playbook/system knowledge". For a guy "playing his way into shape", I'd say he's getting nothing less than an A-minus.

The return of Rogers is a big boost. He knows the system at FB better than the other two ... and since he's also a RB-type ... he has better quickness. That quickness allows him to get to his blocking assignments faster. It also makes him more of a threat in terms of catching the ball ... and just wait ... we might even eventually let the FB get some carries this year too!

Listed as the first team fullback on the depth chart released earlier today.

Finally, this two deep is looking like we had hoped for before the injuries to Rogers,Hitchens,Morris,Nardo,Lowery ect. Now, if we could get McMillan,Canzeri and McCall patched up....good to go!

Also a former LB in HS - He has no problem running through defenders. No hesitation plowing through the line.
