Brad Herman as H-Back?

I've watched a couple of games from last year on ESPN3 in the past few days, and I've really noticed how good of a blocker Brad Herman is. He is a smart and mobile blocker. With a big question mark at fullback this year, I could Iowa running a lot of two TE sets and shifting Herman into the backfield as a lead blocker in sort of an H-back role. Obviously we wouldn't see many carries from that position, but it would add a capable receiver to the backfield.

A good example of what I mean:
Last year against Iowa State, we ran a 12 set with Herman on the LOS off left tackle and Reisner in a three point stance just behind Herman. Reisner was put in motion until just before he passed behind Stanzi, then he shuffled about a yard back to his left as the ball was snapped. Robinson took the hand off, followed Reisner's lead block, broke the play open and went 75 yards.

Head to the 52-second mark to see the play here (I'm looking for a video that better shows the pre-snap motion, but this is what I have for now):

I think you are right. You will see Herman doing this a lot this year. A lot of two TE sets because they are lacking at the FB position. There is no question on running plays you will see Herman motion into the HB position. You saw it out of Reisner a lot last year.

I don't see how that wasn't a TD for Robinson, I know we scored afterward, but it's the principle of the thing.
