So this weekend I started to watch a few Hawkeye football videos on YouTube from this past season. As I'm sure many of you know you can easily get sucked into that site and start watching tons of other videos. I eventually came across one featuring Brad Banks and that amazing 2002 season and watched with delight as Banks continuosly guided the team into the endzone.
Brad Banks was a great dual threat quarterback and when I compare him to most of the recent QB's that have either played or been recruited by Iowa I started to wonder why we don't recruit more hybrid players like Banks? I love Stanzi and wouldn't want any other QB guiding our team but I was curious why when we had so much success with the type of QB Banks was why we don't try to recruit more players like him?
