Iowa graduate Ryan Boyle is headed to Indiana State, where he will have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

I guess it's good he got his degree before he left, but technically since he is going to an FCS school, I believe he could have transferred without a degree and still had 2 years left without having to sit out a year.

ISU was 0-11 last year in FCS so you would think this is not the ideal landing spot for a QB, but if Boyle's goal was playing time, this might be the right place after all.

Wouldn't that be the ultimate kick to the nuts if he doesn't end up winning the job there too? He seems like a good kid and was a heck of a duel threat HS player. Hope he does well.

Holy shit balls, I just looked...that team is horrible. He'll probably get PT and I'm sure they told him that to get him there, but I think I'd find an in-state NAIA school like Morningside and tear it up. He could easily start over Solsma there and maybe win a championship.

I get that it's not D-1, but at some point you have to think it's not going to be a whole lot of fun getting your lunch handed to you against FBS schools in their non-cons and playing in the MVAC against NDSU, SDSU, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, etc. A lot of times there are 3-4 top ten teams in that conference alone.
