Bowls?

With Lynch and other PSU players staying put, can people finally admit that players don't get that excited about bowls either?

You're kidding right? You use that to support a statement that players don't care about bowls. That's quite a jump.

Yeah they don't care about bowls in August with all the we against the world mentality than now exists. Wait until November and December when everyone else (whoops sorry Buckeyes) in the conference is positioning themselves for the Big 10 championship and a quality bowl game. Try that for four years in the case of Penn State and see how it goes down. Lynch and is comrades are about to find out what it's like to play for Indiana.

ummm I dont think he realizes how terrible PSU is going to be at football. Lynch just got caught up with the us against the world mentality.

When they head home in late November, while the rest of the college football winners are heading down south for a week or two of fun and sun and a 2000 dollar giftbag...they will remember.
Lynch has never gone to a bowl...he is a frosh,so he knows nothing.

If PSU is smart they will red shirt everyone they possibly can short of being unable to field a team. Serves two purposes. First, when they reclaim post season eligibility they will have a good number of fifth year seniors which could help make their effort to regain prominence easier. Second, if the kids are out of sight in terms of collegiate have film, they will likely become out of mind to coaches from other schools interested in retaining their services.

But if the kid is smart when they ask/tell him to take a redshirt he tells them he will transfer at end of season.

Unfortunately, the scholarship limits imposed on PSU makes redshirting really difficult. If they land 15 recruits per year, and redshirt a bunch of them, they'll have even fewer scholarship players than the 65 limit they are facing. And if they hope to remain competitive over the next four years, they'll have to keep redshirting to a minimum.

I think the younger you are the less bowls mean.

They are meaningless now and if you didn't grow up when they mattered its probably seems allot different.
