Bowl Season Embarrassment

How many bowls game will the B1G win? My sense is one and I only say that becasue we have to get lucky once don't we? Nebraska will probably play in the Rose Bowl and I would say they are one of the weakest 10 win teams I have seen. Stanford, UCLA or Oregon will be favored over them. There are at least 5 teams in the SEC(Bama, LSU, Georgia, Florida & Texas A & M) that will be 7 point favorites over any bowl eligible B1G teams. I think we are asssured 3 games against the SEC and that will be ugly. Our best hope will be somebody like NW or MN drawing a match-up with some underachieveing team in a nowhere bowl that fails to draw the interest of the opposing players. The weakness of our conference makes losing 6 straight game even more depressing.

I think our only chance of winning the Rose Bowl was if Oregon got into the nations title game.

Its going to be bad...the Big Ten is bad anyways but with OSU out everyone moves up a slot from where they would normally play which is not going to work out well.

If tOSU and PSU weren’t banned from the postseason, the perceived strength of the B1G would be much stronger with a team in the nat’l title and another BCS caliber team eligible. The SEC is overrated and I am going to wager Florida and Carolina go down today.

Michigan vs. Georgia
NW vs. South Carolina
Minny vs Mississippi St.

Michigan at least has the offense to be competitive. Nebraska or Wisconsin will get rolled by whatever Pac 10 team they end up matched up with. It's going to be a really ugly bowl season.
