Music City bowl vs. Arkansas would be perfect. Bielema showdown plus CJ's hometown, and the Hawkeye faithful would swarm to Nashville and have a great time.

Can't recall exactly how bowl selections work nowadays, but if I am Gary Barta I am in someone's ear on this one.

Iowa turnout will be down. Lots of fans made a once in a lifetime trip to the Rose Bowl last year.

Yup.. Easy drive from Eastern Iowa in a day and a pretty cheap trip. If Iowa wins their last two games, I see the Holiday Bowl as a pretty good possibility.

Nashville is not the warmest destination but still a fun city.

I'd be intrigued with a match up against Arkansas. I think this would/could be a fun way to end a season.

Nashville's hotels are not cheap if you want to be reasonably close.

Not many Iowa fans...pre season...would have made a bet on getting plane tickets for Nashville during bowl season...
