Just rewatching the game now... he is just awful.

I mentioned it in the chat, but that call from half court on the charge by Marble was ridiculous. The baseline ref was right there with a no-call and he blows the whistle 25 feet away.

There were others during the game, but my goodness, he's bad. Doesn't help that he has a history with Fran.

I had never heard of the guy before the Penn State home game. He was so bad in that game I had to look him up. I know officiating is a tough gig, but that guy should be banned from doing anything above a high school game!

He's the guy that tossed Fran from the UNI game.
He's the guy that T'ed up Fran before the MSU chair slam.

There were a couple of times I thought McCaffery was going to lose it on him tonight. But props to him for staying calm.

He was a part of that debacle at UNI and gave Fran the 1st T. That was the worst officiated game I've ever seen.

I actually thought the refs did a good job overall tonight. Some isolated calls here and there were garbage, but that happens every game.

Dakich liked how the game was called. I think it sets back Big Ten bb to the dark ages when refs allow this kind of contact without calling fouls. It is never going to be good for a team like Iowa that wants to get out and run and force action and get fouled. It was ridiculous. When Aaron White got shoved out of bounds and no call I thought it was fixed. I forgot about this guy doing the UNI game. He goes on my list, and maybe the top of the list.

I shook my head about the commenys regarding that late dunk appempt white had, the ref said there was some contact but not enough to call a foul... dude he raked his arms on a dunk attempt and caused him to miss... that's a ******* foul.

I like Fran but this is why you don't hint at things like that...you get these guys on ego trips (which they don't need much help to get on) and the game is played and he is looking for an excuse to hit you with a T

I thought this also, that one ****** me off.

of course the flip side to that is you also turn up the heat on the official to call a good game.

all ncaa t
officials want to end up in the final four. and the officials that get there do so because the coaches want them there. say what you will about Hightower he's worked a lot of dances, due in large part because the coaches wanted him there.

I think alot of it has to do that he buddies up to the top coaches at the top programs in the NCAA by giving their team the calls almost ever flipping game....

The worst was either the hack White received on the last dunk attempt or when he got slammed out of bounds on that loose ball scramble. In either case, White could have been seriously hurt. And Dakich has the idotic notion that the officials called a great game.
