Bold Prediction Time

We're inching ever so close to kick off time, so it's time to get your bold predictions in. Here are my 10 Bold Predictions for 2010 (5 Hawkeye and 5 National):

1. The Hawks finish 11-1 (7-1), but unfortunately miss out on the Rose Bowl to Boise State. Instead, they go to the Fiesta Bowl to face Nebraska in a Pre-Expansion Showdown.

2. Stanzi limits his interceptions to single digits, with no pick-6's and we end the year with a 1,000 yd receiver and 1,000 rusher.

3. The defense leads the nation in scoring defense and Clayborn and Binns combine for over 20 sacks and the defense picks off 15 passes.

4. Offense finishes in the upper half of the Big 10 in scoring offense and Top 30 nationally.

5. Ferentz wins B10 COY for 3rd time.

6. Lane Kiffin will be fired after only 1 season at USC.

7. Rose Bowl finishes with lowest tv ratings in BCS history as Oregon St and Boise St "battle" for the Roses.

8. Nebraska finishes their last Big 12 season with a big ol' FU to the conference by winning the conference championship and going to the Fiesta Bowl.

9. OSU finally breaks their SEC jinx and beats Alabama in the National Championship game.

10. Final Top 5 after bowl games: 1. OSU 2. Alabama 3. Iowa 4. Boise State 5. Oklahoma

My predictions
1. I will have a beer in my hand at every home game. Probably by 8 am.

My Hawkeye predictions.
1. Iowa undefeated at home.
2. Iowa wins the conference championship.
3. Iowa plays Rose bowl
4. Iowa's offensive line struggles until they go to Arizona.
5. Jewel gets 1000 yards by November.
National picks.
1. Boise State will lose their first game.
2. If Boise State doesn't lose to either VT, or Oregon State, they will start crying about how they get no respect from the BCS.
3. Nebraska will win B12 North and lose in the conference title game.
4. Florida will struggle in conference play and not make it to the SEC championship game.
5. Alabama will drop out of top 5 in October.
