Bold prediction for next year

He's definitely looking good these days. Might see a lot of the twin towers. If he and Gabe improve like I think they might, we are gunna make a run at a conference championship.

palmetto, that is a no brainer. I seriously think Woody could average 10 pts. per game next year.

Does he really have 5 more points and 5 more boards a game in him? I doubt it. My bold prediction though is that we win the Big Ten next year.

8 points, 8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks. Woodbury, Olaseni, McCabe, Basabe, Meyer, White and maybe some Uthoff down low. I already can't wait for next season.

I think Olaseni may be more likely to average a double double than Woody next year. I don't think it will happen, but his progress has been nothing short of incredible and shows no signs of slowing down.

Olaseni is not coming anywhere close to scoring 10 points a game, his offensive game is still just wide open dunks at this point. Neither one of these guys will be close to a double double though.

Like I said, I don't think it would happen. But I do think Gabe's game is slightly more advanced than just wide open dunks. He's had some where it wasn't wide open. He's also better from the FT line. But I admit I'd also be banking on continued, considerable improvement.

if we can get the fast break O going next year, then there will be lots of easy baskets for a running big man. not that he'll average 10ppg, but he could be considerably improved again next year.

The 2 together very well could average a double-double. Woody more pts and Gabe more rebounds.

remember when we used to have 6ft 7inch dudes starting at center and PF and being significantly smaller than every other team we faced? yeah, those days are over.

I'll go with Briggs and say 8 and 8. As for the team goal, we have increased our regular season wins from 11 to 16 to (projected) 21, an increase of at least 5 a season. Therefore, we obviously will win 26 regular season games next year which should put us in the top 2-3 of the Big Ten.
