Boiler them up Hawks...Game thread.

I remember a #5 Purdue team in Carver about 20 -25 years ago. Iowa was an unranked avg to below and Kyle Gallagher(?) went crazy from 3. Hawks won by 25-30.

Shit happens when one plays out of their skulls hot and one plays way below their ability.

that’s my point have a NBA mindset, flush it and move on to Nebraska

If I'm Fran I'm questioning manhoods.

I understand that sometimes teams get hot, but allowing a team like Purdue to nearly reach their PPG avg in 1 HALF is absolutely pathetic and embarrassing effort.

I don't care how red-hot a team is. If you give up 60 points in a half, it's because your defense is trash.

Look, Purdue is just hot. But his defense gave up sixty-*******-one points in the half and Fran only saw one place to call a timeout?

Being a bad defensive team is not a good recipe to win on the road in the B1G.

Purdue is shooting out of the world but nonetheless Iowa’s defense has been garbage.

Didn’t expect a win, but getting down to the nitty gritty in terms of finding a road win. Best chances left are now at Indiana and at Minnesota.

Bottom line

It is unbelievably difficult to win on the read in the Big Ten

Especially this season

We were Not going to go undefeated the rest of the way in conference
I had this one as a loss....but by saying that I'm almost admitting that we are that second tier level....5-7 seed

That was not pretty. If you go on the road in the B1G and you don’t have your A game, or even your B game, you’re doomed. I expect Iowa to play better, but this is why I didn’t pick them to win any games on the road. I expected them to complete better than this though

This is why the Hawks probably won't win the Big Ten and why they could possibly be bounced from the tournament quickly. Just simply no defense.
