Bohannon, Cook on B1G All-Freshmen Team

Does this put others on notice? With what Iowa has coming on, I'm thinking it should. So whoever gets left off, so be it....We're the hot team right now, so look out....Indiana, going down, Wisconsin don't even show up.....if I eat crow, then I'll eat it watching Iowa win the NIT....

In fairness Ward got absolutely jobbed and we would probably act the same way. In conference Ward averaged 14/6 in 21 minutes and won the most B1G freshman of the week awards. He didn't need to replace Cook though he could have replaced anyone not named Miles Bridges IMO.
Cook should have a monster season next year. It wouldn't surprise me to see him average a double double. I think his sophomore season will probably be his last one at Iowa.

Maybe. I think he would really have to develop his jump shot if that were the case. There really isn't much back to the basket play in the NBA anymore. Most guys 6'8/240 in the league are near automatic from the elbow, and many can step out to the 3 point line.

JBo absolutely needed to be in this team. When you look at his 3pt plus assist numbers and compare it to other B1G point guards historically, it's ridiculous. Nationally this year his 3 plus assist numbers are only on the same page as Lorenzo Ball. That's absurd.

I was surprised by Cook. He, right now, the way he is currently playing, is deserving but for the season, it should have been N Ward.

Cook's space in the NBA is as a Draymond Green type. He needs to improve his handles, jump shot and defense before he is NBA ready. He's too small to play the way he plays now in the NBA.
