Bohannon, Cook on B1G All-Freshmen Team

Congratulations to Tyler and Jordan!! Really B1G things to come from these guys!!

This is outstanding......!

Usually we have one on the Freshmen team

Just might pencil Garza in for next season's Freshman team also....l

Dazzling Future coming up.....

This is great, I wondered if both Cook and Bohannon would make it.

Add 1 more thing that troll was wrong about.

Cook went from a guy who you could tell had a ton of potential but couldn't quite put it together, to an e beast lately. Bohannon went from a guy who looked like he was a couple years away from being a solid backup to a guy who might be one of the greatest point guards in Iowa history. His ability to feed the post and shoot the ball is something we haven't seen at that position in a long time.

Now, if we could only recruit a quality point guard, we could be a contender for a BT title...

These two are just scratching the surface. Cook especially, he's really starting to put it all together. I was hard on him earlier this year for his defense but he's completely become a different player on that end of the floor. Fran and his staff have done great work with these young studs.

You can find him, you just need to go over to Clowntown, I'm sure he is posting like 100 times a day.

He was here this morning, just viewing though, not a lot for him to post these days. His last post was mocking someone for thinking JBo may be an 1st team All B1G Freshman selection....lol. He can't really defend that one, no matter how many "what" he posts.

MSU fans are mad about Ward being off in favor of Cook. Well boo freaking hoo. Those same folks probably didn't think Jok was a 1st teamer either. Cook is a monster. The last 4 or 5 games he's played lights out

In fairness Ward got absolutely jobbed and we would probably act the same way. In conference Ward averaged 14/6 in 21 minutes and won the most B1G freshman of the week awards. He didn't need to replace Cook though he could have replaced anyone not named Miles Bridges IMO.

Great awards for the good guys...

Although I had never seen JB play in high school he has been a pleasant surprise, fearless, and very much a thinking player, great vision. Athletically limited but someone you WANT on your team, a winner.

Nice to see Cook seem to "get it" with the rebounding, seems a bit of Baer has rubbed off on him. Hope he stays his full term.

These awards are great of course, but some of it is being able to put up tons of minutes as a freshman, which Iowa provided for our youngsters. Balanced and deep teams, year to year, seldom can offer such an opportunity.

Pemsl with his FG % left off the team... He is a warrior.

Now, win 2-3 more...get some TV time...get in the tournament and advertise for that jet PG that is out there somewhere.

Someone that deserves it always gets left of this list. I thought for sure that would be Jordan, but it was Ward. Since it is MSU and the crying Izzo's, it don't bother me, plus it is glorious ammo in which to nuke 56 with.
