Bobby Stoops on Cowturds show talking Iowa



Idiot's logic. If Iowa were to schedule Bama, wouldn't Bama be called out for not scheduling a power house OOC opponent? Arizona, Arizona St, Pitt and Mizzou (chicken shizzles backed out) are not cupcake opponents!

^^ totally agree, the hawks played two P5 teams ooc the weakest one on the road where the hawks have stumbled. The hawks outplayed ISU for the last 3 qtrs and definitely the 2nd half but baylor barely beat ISU and ISU shutout Texas and almost beat Okie St.

So give me a break and these schedules were made out not in August but maybe 4-5 years ago.

another thing, Iowa has to play ISU and Iowa wants to have a so called 'tune up' game in the opener, and it will be more of a moot point when the hawks play 9 conf games. Iowa will probably play a tuneup game, play ISU and maybe another power 5 team before heading into conf play.

True, the Pitt game was scheduled at least 8 years ago. I think it was a contract for 4 games in 8 years.

ND gets credit for beating a tough Pitt team whereas Iowa gets belittled!

Very true. This is exactly what he wants. Most of his viewers these days appear to be Iowa fans because he apparently keeps talking trash about them.

Now I did watch the video the OP posted. Love Bob Stoops. However, he lost to freaking Texas. That's a bad loss. He said he schedules tough teams.

Akron, Tennessee and Tulsa this year. When Tenn. was originally scheduled they were one of the weaker SEC teams. They're still not very good. Akron and Tulsa. Please tell me what's tough about them? Tulsa is ranked 94th with a strength of schedule at 82 and Akron is ranked 112th with a strength of schedule of 105.

Of the 3 out of conference games for Oklahoma, the average rank is 75. For Iowa, the average rank of their 3 opponents is 89. Not a big difference. North Texas ranked 177th really brought down Iowa. Of course, anyone with a brain knows they were scheduled partly because of Dan McCarney being the coach.

As for Cowhurd, I don't watch him. But the few things I hear him say in video clips, it's quite apparent he doesn't do much research. He just has agendas and that doesn't go far these days with most audiences.
