Bobby Hansen today.

Didn't watch but listened today. This is by far the most frustrated and angry that I have heard Bobby all year. He has a very smart basketball mind and the play of this team lately, especially the seniors, really seemed to push him over the edge today.

He let loose on Clemmons today especially. Apparently, at one point Uthoff was calling for the ball but Clemmons thought it better to go one on three only to get his shot blocked. Bobby- "To be frank. That was just awful." And he questioned Mike's judgement as well as it sounded like he drove too far in again with no where to go more than once. And he even criticized Woody for taking some shots when he was struggling instead of finding the hot shooter.

He is more subtle when it comes to his view of Fran's bench coaching but his annoyance with that at times is evident to me as well. Doesn't the above fall back to coaching? Have 3 of the 4 seniors progressed really all that much in 4 years?

I know Bobby, and Eddie for that matter, have to walk a fine line but I feel we are blessed with the very best in the business. Great with x's and o's and they don't feel the need to blow sunshine up our arses all the time. Keep speaking your mind gentlemen. Thank you.

I'm glad Bobby finally expressed the breakdown of the game. The majority of the time he bites his tongue on anything critical of the Hawks. He is excellent with his analysis and insight of the game. I've known Bobby since he was in the 7th grade. He is a perfectionist and wouldn't expect anything less than 110% effort and 100% execution as a coach. That's why coaching would drive him over the edge.

I'd rather have a guy speak his mind instead of a guy who says "none of your business". I listened to Bobby also. Very candid and quick to express his displeasure about Sapp, Mike, and Woody. Our defense is horrendous and he called the team out several times....

Agree... That's about as disappointed and upset as I have ever heard Bobby on the radio and much of that was directed at the players. For seniors playing their possible last BTT game that was weak sauce.

As he should have. He probably wished he could take the headset off a and walk out of the building. That was a disgraceful performance. They have no pride

Late in the game, after bricking two critical free throws, woodbury tosses up a 17 footer while a 6-2 guy is guarding Uthoff. Hansen was as good as he's ever been as an analyst at this point.

"disgraceful" and "they have no pride"? Really?

They played poorly but to call it a disgrace or that they have no pride is absurd. Disgraceful play is when players quit on their coach or punch players on the other team. And I believe their pride was hurt pretty badly yesterday.

I am thankful today that I likely have only one more game to see three seniors wear the Iowa uniform. I'll definitely miss Uthoff.

I wish I could miss Fran, but I don't think that's happening.

I agree Fran could have said things differently, but what he was trying to do is prevent an explanation of the OB play so that other teams won't know, but formation, what the play might be. It was a comment based in thinking toward the NCAA tournament and for scouting purposes.

I've never had an issue w/Fran being Fran when it comes to expressing his point of view, and I'm basing my reasoning on what I've read by others.....As I mentioned I listened to the game, and that's exactly what Bobby was saying that the players start moving around before we have the ball, as to confuse the opposition. My point was that Fran doesn't like to lose, Iowa fans don't like to lose, but when I heard that he said that, I'm questioning his leadership sometimes....Good coach, he's brought Iowa back, but needs to get'em over the hump....I absolutely hate the one and done's that we've seen in the BTT by him and his Iowa teams.....He's an "in-your-face" coach sometimes, I just wished his players were like that....the results might be alittle different in closer games
