Bob Stoops Retiring?

"So you say there's a chance?" Don't rain on my parade....tell me there is a chance...PLEASE.

Again, screw you Barta,,,you idiot!!!

I hate to tell the KF haters, but KF has the Iowa program on an upswing. He would have to nosedive pretty hard to put this job in jeopardy. The hiring of BF at offensive coordinator, KOK as the QB Coach, and Polasek as OL coach are serious upgrades from where we were last year. Polasek was just a brilliant hire in my opinion...there is a reason NDSU could compete with anyone and he was a big part of it.

Honestly, Iowa is going to be a tough team to defend if we get any QB play. You have 7-8 guys on the offensive line that were pretty good last year (Joe Moore Award) and last year didn't end as well as they would have liked in the bowl game. There are three seniors playing to get drafted also on the OL, maybe four if Daniels wins the Remington. I don't think people understand, if they are healthy, how much a dominant OL means in a game. Your defense is better and rested. You can also play more aggressive on defense in situations as you know your offense is going to score.

This team will get tested early, Wyoming and in LAMES, but if we get through that and start to gel...could be a return trip to the B10 Championship Game in order.

Take a look Hawk fans. Head coaching job handed off to the offensive coordinator that has been there just two seasons.

I predict a deja vu for Iowa in the very foreseeable future.

Never considered this....but I dig it.
It has been my fantasy for a couple years now. What is really cool is that it isn't totally out there. Because of the magnitude of this news I think I am going to have to call in a favor down in Norman.

Some are predicting a 4-8 season this year. That happens, and I think the phone call is made to Bob (after Kirk is asked to retire). Or at least a lot of folks would want that phone call made.
