I would love to see Stoops as the next Iowa AD and sooner rather than later is preferable. If KF was ready to retire, and they didn't think BF was ready to step in (we all acknowledge that's the plan, right?), then I would be more than happy to see Stoops take the reigns for a few years while BF develops more.

I don't see that happening as KF seems like he will coach for a while longer and by the time he's ready to go, Stoops will either be coaching again, Iowa's AD or still living it up spending his millions doing whatever he feels like doing.

I can confirm he was in town to speak at the leadership forum for Rockwell Collins and therefore the visit to the Football complex was merely a chance to pop in and say hello to his friend KF & the team.

I do have a sense of humor - I read these posts and threads - but you Negative Nancies do not. Now, does that mean I'm happy with the state of the athletic program? It could and SHOULD be better, but most of the posters here could use what I call a life...outside of criticizing all things Hawkeye... which is why I still believe the majority of this thread is clownfusker trolls. Ha Ha Ha (see, humor).

I think one of my points was that you used the term "all". I've criticized at times but I'm definitely not a negative Nancy about everything. There are some like that here but not all.
