BMC Pulls in another guard

Seems like a good depth and developmental piece for Ben. Decent stats as a freshmen in a lower tier league. Should be able to provide some bench minutes right away.

Really just missing a back-up big at this point. I like this roster.

I love that BM isn’t going to overpay for dudes. Now, if that is optional or not, is a different question.:)
Until games are actually played, on paper, he does seem like he is “cherry picking’’ in the right way.

Found this video of his game. Looks like he's got potential. The 3 yrs to play I really like. We'll need someone the following yr to take the point when Stirtz is gone.

I like the way he probes the defense, then has a strong cross-over dribble to take advantage either direction. Also a strong catch-and-shoot % from 3 when he gets to his spot. Love the detailed breakdown of that film, including his weaknesses: turnovers and shooting off the dribble. Fixable. Looks like a BTen player to me!

He was playing 20 plus mins as a true freshman. But next yr with us I see that dropping quite a bit... However the following yr he could get handed the keys to the car. I just hope he realizes that and doesn't get impatient. I'm sure when talking to coach they map all that out. It can be tough for a kid who got a taste of significant PT to want to step back from that for a yr.

The roster is almost fully formed. The kid should know who is in front of him and what his role will likely be. I like that he is coming to a bigger school to compete for minutes. Hungry kid. I like it.

True. I'm guessing BM's success at molding his current PG into an All American is a pretty good draw at this point.

I do believe this is a good addition to the team

Appears to have had solid game experience last season

And apparently makes his threes in the highlight reel

Looks like a solid choice for the team
