Ditto. The 8-point Butler/Marquette game right now is the first game of the day that is remotely competitive. Tomorrow we have four Big Ten games plus Iowa St so it should be more interesting.
It's very surprising that a team who hasn't beat a decent team since December wasn't ready for the tournament. Completely surprising.

They beat that world killing St. Mary's team 3 times.
Yep and St Mary's had one good win so obviously they were a high quality team. Plus they beat Drake and almost beat UNI and Pacific. Great conference they have there.

The sad thing is with the WCC tv contract and the fact I can't go to sleep early I have watched more of their games than I want to admit this year, and that conference was comparable to watching Simpson and Central battle most nights. Entertaining when there are close games, but come on, they didn't deserve 2 tournament bids.
I have seen enough of the Dance to say that the Selection Committee better do a SERIOUS overhaul of their process going forward. Way overseeding mediocre teams that haven't beaten anyone. Letting nearly every bubble bid go to mid majors or below, and seeing nearly all of them lose 1st round. Just an epic fail on the field this year, epic fail.
They should have totally let Iowa in to the dance. Then at least the team losing in the first round would have been from a major conference, instead of a mid-major.
Wait until the elite 8 to talk smack about the committee...just because your bracket is all a mess doesn't mean the best teams won't be in the finals. This is what it's all about!
At this point I'd focus on your NIT run - you guys have a REAL shot at meeting up with Baylor in the finals - nothing to sneeze at there.

Yep Saint Marrys zero quality wins was definitely more deserving than Iowa.
Who cares. Just because we shoot the three well doesn't mean we HAVE to. But we play to our strength, which is scoring...from everywhere.
We've beat plenty of teams when shooting poorly from three. But keep thinking that way - everyone else has and it doesn't end well for them.
Before you say it, yes, SCOREBOARD. Who the F cares.

ISU is going to have an extremely hard time scoring in any fashion on OSU. ISU is a guard dominated team and OSU is the best perimeter defensive team in the country.
To hang around in this one ISU will have to play a tremendous defensive and I don't think you have anyone who can match up with Thomas at the 4 spot.
I see OSU winning by about 15 or so.
You've lost 11 games. Its ended well for plenty of teams, including Iowa.
Well, I guess that's why we play the game then. Because one of us is right.
