Blame Bruce Harreld

I won't get into the shadiness of the regents backdoor dealing in this guy but we must not forget Harreld gave Barta a very lucrative 5 year extension back in February. Harreld and Barta are political allies and a Good Old Boy Club was formed with Ferentz being included with them when he got his extension.

This isn't new news but it's absolutely disgusting and is the seed for why we are stuck with Ferentz even longer.

You'd think a "business man" would be smarter than this but he was just taking care of one of his own. Harreld will prove to be a terrible president and it started the moment he gave Barta a raise. I can't wait to see what that guy has in store for education.

On the first part, they don't believe because of the dirth of jobs. If you don't have an in demand professional degree with a special skill, that generation just can't get ahead. Not sure what you comment has to do with the thread though. For sure cronyism going on with the program, but why doesn't make sense. Nothing would surprise me anymore.

It's political because they are friends outside of work due to their political donations and that same political party put Bruce in place.

Both guys need to be run out of town.
