If Kirk would realize that Butler can pound the shit out of it and that with this year’s OL Wadley is not the answer, he’d make headway on the ground. We have two very capable fullbacks and tight ends that have to be covered in space.

Wadley, for all of his skill and past history, is not working this year. Give Butler the rock.

Coaches said they were going to use it and get Wadley in space.

A one-off against Purdue isn’t “using” that formation especially when not getting Wadley in space.

Daniels is a good, hard-working kid. Like the rest of the team he has been trained to fall on his sword when explaining bad coaching.
It's one of the reasons 4/5 stars aren't available to Ferentz. I know Daniels was a 4 star but he is the rare exception among that crowd which can subordinate their own ego to the king of egos.

And spell Butler with Young. My friends and I are of the opinion that if the hawks would have just pounded Butler and Young pretty much straight at Wisky with straightahead power blocking from TE to TE the hawks would have had at least 100+ yards two weeks ago.
