He's like JoePa and The Bear. The guy will die shortly after retirement so good for him to keep going.
I wouldn't put Paterno on that list. He didn't really retire.
Well, he retired in a similar vein to the way Joe Theisman retired - involuntarily.
You have to wonder how much coaching he is really doing today. With no guarantee that his son replaces him, maybe he is just the figurehead. Although he did out-coach Soupy Campbell in that ISU game last year.

Laugh now, but those head in a glass jar things from Futurama are just a couple of years away.
Aging is changing a lot. I know a lot of folks who have blown past 90, some in pretty good shape. What is sad with all the medical advances some are so unhealthy now at young ages they won't last a long time. I see 80 year old's that I would never consider acting old. Besides, SS and pensions are going to require people work longer.
I would take Snyder now in a heartbeat.
There's hope for Kirk reaching 300 wins then.
I think the issue is that K State has like 150,000 fans total. Maybe fewer. And they were awful before Snyder so he is basically a God there. Dealing with actual admission and behavioral standards, the annual trips around Iowa and listening to the morons on the call-in shows have worn heavily on Kirk.Kirk seems burdened by coaching. Snyder like HF seems to love it.

Hopefully he isn't still having tutors take final exams for his athletesFew guys in this business like Snyder. I still remember a few years ago he wrote a letter to the Okie State kicker congratulating him on kicking the game winner against them. It will be a sad day when he finally hangs up the headset, not to mention I'm not convinced K-State can maintain relevance without his magic.
