Bill Cubit's Coaching Resume.

I read on the Ill board that Cubit is 1-1 as a HC coaching against Ferentz. I couldn't for the life of me remember who he would have been head coach against Ferentz, so I Wiki'd him. Here is his coaching resume.

I realize that coaches often pop around to different teams over the years, but Cubit's kind of baffled me as he only seems to do 1-3 year stints quite a bit. Why do you suppose that is? Does he end up sucking? He seems to be decent and has Illanoy playing pretty decent as an interim HC. Why would a guy at his age pop around so much still. He likes different scenery?

What was also kind of odd is the change in levels he's coached at varying times throughout his career.

It is a long strange road that typifies journeyman coaches and assistants. Was is 2006 he won a Senior Day game at Kinnick, I remember it was fun times after that.

thats the life of an assistant coach. they move around a lot. he did last 8 years as a head coach at Western Mich. not bad for a MAC coach. usually they either move up or get fired after 5 years.

Only at Iowa does it seem like coaches stay forever. most places they stay 3 or 4 years tops.

Cubit is an ancient measure of length, approximately equal to the length of a forearm. It was typically about 18 inches or 44 cm.

I'd love to see Illinoise held below 80 cubits rushing on Saturday.

2007. Jake C was the QB. Last game of the season. All Iowa needed to do was win that game to get to a bowl game, but nope.
