From article:

The discipline Bigach used to work his way up the defensive depth chart allows the 6-foot-3, 282-pound Cleveland native to prepare for his next academic challenges.

“Time management is going to be important to make this work, and it is something I’ve had to work at,â€￾ Bigach said. “Mixing academics and football have taught me how to use my time wisely. Understanding how to make that all work will be even more important moving forward.â€￾

This is horrible to say, but I don't really care about his next "academic challenges." I just want the D-line not to suck this year.

Weeelllllll, I get what you are saying and I imagine many, if not most big time college football fans feel that way as well. However it falls under the category of things best unsaid. I for one hope he succeeds at life and along the way helps us build a very stout DL…

I was being a little facetious, but you're right, I probably shouldn't have said anything at all.

You're just so...

What is horrible is that you feel that way. Is it really a wonder why we lag the rest of the world in math and science and English is becoming a foreign language with this kind of thought process? It's a shame because Iowa is lucky and gets good student athletes not like some schools that pass you through the system without being able to read and write. I love college athletics because it takes a lot of talent to work in the classroom and on the field. I guess you'd rather have a world full of Pacman Jones' and TO's. Thanks, but no thanks.

As I mentioned above, it was a bad joke, because our D-line was not so good last year. I don't want Iowa to be an SEC school. So you can relax a little bit and come down off your high horse, and I'll promise never to joke about academics again.
