Interesting concept. However, without a 12th member, I think there are other ways to make the conference "relevant" (read talked about) in the last couple weeks of the season. Why not have a B10 Rivalry week - push some of the rivaly (read trophy) games back on the calendar?

Of course, doing that does not create what is perceived as a cash cow - a championship game.

Nor does it provide the important 13th game for teams who may be playing for a bid to the NCG. THAT'S the big edge. It's one more chance to impress.
