Big Ten not very good again

lol Michigan State isn't good now because they had a close lost to another top ten team? Purdue is still very much good despite getting handled by State, it just goes to show how good state is, at this point in the season.

It was just 2024 that Purdue was in the national title game. And Michigan and Wisconsin had a shot fairly recently too.

Just because Bigten isn't necessarily the best conference in basketball doesn't make it "not very good". This very well could be the year they get a NCAA champion even.

Given that Michigan State got beat by #4 Duke, Indiana got beat by #6 Louisville and Purdue got beat by #10 Iowa St, I believe we can take your evaluation of the conference as a whole a bit premature. Time will tell.

Michigan may be the best team in the country, Indiana seems to be rounding into shape. MSU looks scary outside of 1:53 drought against a top 5 team and has looked more ahead of their pace than the last few years. Purdue is just fine and top 5 again. Even Iowa is #23 in USA today. Illinois is pretty damn good as well. Looks very good so far and it is quite early. Tough marking to say it isn't very good. Guess Iowa, current odds 30/1 to make the Final Four, is a pretty average team if the conference isn't very good.
