1. Indiana
2. Mich
3. OSU
4. MSU
5. Wis
6. Minn
7. Iowa
8. Pur
9. Ill
10.NW
11. PSU
12. Neb

Iowa was picked to finish 7th (five votes for 6th, eight (including mine) for 7th, eight for 8th and one for 10th. Indiana got 21 of 24 first place votes.

I think there's a pretty big cutoff after the first four teams, but I think 7th is pretty reasonable based on what each team is returning at this point.

Yeah, I think Iowa and the rest are playing for 7th...IF Minnesota and Wisky are what I think they can be. I think MN can be a freaky good defensive team...and Wisconsin just has a certain level they probably won't fall below due to their style.

Next year, they will really be back.

Agreed. This year I see Iowa as a bubble team, and next year I see them contending for a top 4 seed in the tourney. Big 10 loses a ton of talent after this year and Iowa just gets more experienced. Excellent setup for 13-14.

So we play the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place picks only once (along with the 9th place pick). And play the 1st, 5th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th picks twice. That sounds like the perfect sort of schedule for a young team still learning to win consistently. So just going by pick placement, if we can beat the 9th place team in the "one and done" matchups, split with the 5th, 6th and 8th place picks, and sweep the 10th, 11th and 12th place picks, that puts us at 10-8 in the conference. Win 10 in the out of conference and one in the BTT and we're looking at 21 wins and a #10 seed in the NCAAs. Sweet!!
