Not really. The Rose Bowl was the BCS Championship Game site that year, just like the Fiesta Bowl (where O$U beat Miami/FL) was the site the following season.
The frightening thing was that B1G champions were spending far too much time in the Rose Bowl and not nearly enough in BCS CG.
