Big Games coming up...

IF, and big if with 4 games remaining nothing is set in stone, Wisconsin wins out there is still a tremendous opportunity for the Hawks to play for a BCS Bowl game by winning out. There are some huge games around the country this weekend that should allow the Hawks to keep climbing up the BCS rankings by winning out, having a very high BCS ranking and becoming a very coveted at-large selection:

Iowa sitting 16th currently:

This weekend:
# 3 TCU vs # 5 Utah (with a blowout either way, the Hawks COULD just
the loser, close game maybe not however)
#6 Alabama vs #10 LSU (Hawks would jump LSU if loser and 'possibly' Alabama if loser. Bama still plays Auburn later in the year, LSU plays at Ark later in year as well, not sure if Mallet back then or not)
#15 Arizona vs #13 Standford (Hawks would jump the loser, hope for AZ to win this one as helps our BCS standings plus AZ still has USC, Oregon, and rivalry game against ASU, pretty brutal)

teams closely behind Iowa in the rankings with tough tests this weekend:
Arkansas vs South Carolina
Baylor vs Oklahoma State
Also ahead of Iowa in the rankings:
Can Oklahoma lose at Texas A & M (also still play at Baylor and at Okie St)
Can Texas Tech give Mizzou a battle in Lubbock?
Can Iowa State become our friend and beat Nebraska Saturday and/or Mizzou at home later in the year.

Tons of football to be played yet this year. Hawks just take down Indiana and then focus on Northwestern and we should be sitting around the top 10 again two weeks from now. Will be fun to see how this all unfolds. Winning out means the greatest conference goal however of being called Big Ten Champs. Go Hawks.

Mallet played on Sat. and passed for over 400 yds. in a pretty convincing win. I think it was Miss. St.
