Big game for Iowa's NIT chances tonight

scUM visits Illannoy tonight at 6pm on the mothership. A win by Illannoy puts them at 18-12 (7-10) on the season. They already have quality wins over MSU, Gonzaga, OSU, and NW.

A win tonight probably puts them back on the NCAA bubble, depending on what they do in the B10 tournament. A loss likely puts them behind Iowa for an NIT bid. Illannoy finishes up @ Wisky on on Sunday,

I agree. Illinois, not northwestern, can be the 7th big ten team in.

You can go either way here. A win puts them back on the NCAA bubble but it also makes them more attractive to the NIT. Let's face it, Illinois is not going to beat Wisconsin so the flip side of this they lose at home to Michigan and lose on the road to Wisconsin to finish 6-12 (17-14). They lose the first round BTT game to (potentially) Northwestern and now they sit at 17-15 with an absolute horrible 2-12 finish. Weber probably ends up fired and I bet the NIT passes on them.

If Michigan and MSU win their next game, wouldn't MSU be #1, Michigan #2 and Ohio State #3 for the BTT?

If we can clinch the #7 seed by beating Northwestern, the next game would be against Michigan.

Another reason to root for Meat Chicken and not Illannoy.

you live on farm too long and chicken get in your head?

Illinois has no chance at the dance unless they win the B1G tourney. Same as Iowa and Weber is toast the day after their season ends.
