I'll bite. Exactly what corner are you referring to? The oline reverted back to the one we'd seen prior to the winning streak, but in the end we still came out on top. Your right that winning is really the only thing that matters, but unlike the Purdue game, this was won despite the play of our offensive line.

I get the optimism I really do, and am glad we started winning again and think we may somehow find a way to win the west, but our offense definitely didn't play like they'd turned any corner and to be totally honest...I think Petras just got sacked again.

I would only add that I never expected our young, inexperienced O line could solve the problem of WI’s weird D. And yeah. We scored 24 points and I don’t give a damn how we got them. Iowa D set us up, O delivered.
 
If Iowa finishes 8-4 I will have probably cheered more than I did last season. The stigma of this historically bad offense and the stigma of the B1G West will preclude Iowa from being ranked at 8-4

Jeff Sagarin says Iowa is ranked 24 now. Not bad for our abysmal offense. Win the next two and get ready for Ohio State on a neutral field. That'll be toughest game left for us.

Add 3rd down efficiency above 50% and yard per pass 10 yards

We “turned the corner” when we went 12-0, the next step in the process is win the fucking conference not getting your shit pushed in by Michigan.

If you’re an Iowa fan you’re not happy with the West, you want it all.

You have to win the West for that to be possible. When Iowa went 12-0 they lost by a yard to Michigan State.

Winning 3 in a row with how the season started is turning a corner. People left this program for dead and now it's in position to possibly win it's division. Ya play the teams on your schedule and Iowa is playing who they have to beat every year to get there.

Our offense is bad, Iowa is prime to win its second divisional title despite it. I realize changes need to be made on offense, but I can also give kudos and respect that the staff didn't lose the team.

I have no issues with giving credit to the team and completely agree that the kids never stopped playing. My comments were as said over a thousand times before on this site, our style of play puts us in a position where we should have an opportunity or a chance to win every game we play in, which we've done recently. I don't see that as turning the corner after the offensive performance against Wiscy, I see it more as a "won in spite of", which is a good thing in its own way. I thought we turned the corner against Purdue, but as usual its a one step forward two steps back approach with our line play.

It's definitely in spite of the offense for sure. I think Iowa's offense struggles against good defenses. Like teams do against our defense. Luckily we have a good defense or we'd be in trouble. But since we do, it all counts towards the bottom line.

.... up next is # 9 Minnesota.

We can only play teams on the schedule but it was stacked against some pretty good defensive teams. If Iowa ends up 8-4 against that, it will be hard for me not to be at least satisfied with the season. If they somehow win the West, that will be pretty remarkable..... there was definitely enough of a corner turned to get to that point.

One thing all those defenses had in common......they all got to face Iowa's offense. :)
