Basabe has not been holding back, he is playing within a system and within that system (with the exception of the exhibition game) he is doing what is being asked of him. He has been to the line a lot and has been very efficient from the stripe, and as another poster stated, he is scoring above last year's average and only playing an average of 20 minutes in compared to 30+ minutes last year.
