BIG 4 Classic @ Wells Fargo - Who's going?

Too much space between the baseline and the first row of seats. NBA arenas are the same way, but it seems like the Well is too cheap to alleviate this issue with adaptive bleachers, etc., like at Target Center, United Center, etc.

That being said; no way in hell I'm driving from Kansas City to see ISU vs UNI. Plenty of better Big 12 roadtrips with same or lesser distance where I can see Iowa State.

Half the seats are ticketed to fans who care much more about the other game. You "own" half of a side and the corner for your fans. Bulk of upper deck seating is on one end behind the basket. Seating in the upper deck mixes fanbases. Poor lighting. Terrible videoboard. Even worse operation of the scoreboard. No energy coming from nearly empty student sections.

Geesh, so you're a Bank of America fan. I get it. I care about both games, not equally, but still have a high interest in both. But I get you on that aspect, and agreed that the video board is pretty cheap. But "Poor lighting" (do players complain about the court being too dark, or what?) & "even worse operation of the score board" though? Lol, ok. I'm interested in how they're not operating it correctly.

Too expensive for Mid major match ups. They need to split the sessions and charge 1/2 the price. They should sell more tickets, more concessions and have a better environment.

This. Wanted to take my family of 4. With all the ticketmaster fees, the total was $316. Not worth it in my opinion, and have no interest in watching the ISU vs UNI game

I will be there with a group of Iowa fans. I agree, the tickets are over-priced for the lower levels and I can see prices going down when they don't fill the arena this year.

For Des Moines based fans like ourselves it is a convenient game. Because of many of the weeknight game start times, it is hard for us to make them with work, both getting PTO, etc.

The Creighton game at Wells and Big 4 Classic have made it easier to watch the Hawks live but this "Classic" won't survive at these prices.

I have a hard time justifying to my self paying over 20-25 bucks for a college basketball ticket.

I like this game because Iowa gets to play the other 2 instate schools every other year on a neutral court. I could care less if I ever see Iowa play in the McLeod Center again. The last time Iowa played UNI in the McLeod Center it was the worst officiated game I ever seen in person. I do not think a school like Iowa (even ISU) should ever have to play on the road at a mid major, Iowa has much more to lose and very little to gain playing a mid major rival on the road.

My wife and I are attending. She went to UNI but graduated from Iowa. I am a UNI grad. We'll both be cheering for the Panthers in the first game.

Agree. I'm heading down and pumped about it, plus my tickets didn't cost me a dime :)
